The MOT testing standards differ for PSVs and trucks compared to ordinary four-wheelers. HGVs, PSV (buses, including minibuses with more than nine seats), or HGV trailers require an HGV MOT check every year once they are 12 months old.

Other vehicles within this category include:

• Goods-vehicles with a gross weight of over 3,500 kg
• Vehicles built or adapted to be an articulated vehicle.

For example, lorries or semi-trucks, jointed structures, like tractors and trailers, that connect with a pivot joint.

• Half-trailers
• Horse-boxes (gross-weight over 3,500kg)
• Frame trailers/converter dollies made from 1st of Jan. '79 onwards
• Trailers (unladen-weight of 1,020kg+ with a powered braking system (not the standard overrun brakes and parking brakes)
• Trucks and excavators

Class 4 MOT for cars

If your car has reached the 3-year landmark (since registration), an annual MOT Bedford check is mandatory to ensure its safety and roadworthiness. This is the most common MOT category, which includes:

How to Book an MOT Test With Us?

Booking an MOT appointment with us is a straightforward process.

Online:

Step 1. Please provide the required information about your vehicle (reg.-number) on our website.

Step 2. Select a convenient date and time for MOT testing.

Step 3. Visit our workshop on the date and time you chose.

Step 4. You can also opt for pre-MOT checks before the actual MOT test takes place. Here, we perform vehicle safety evaluations, servicing, AC inspections, fleet safety checks, and more.
